Belknap Range Hiking patch Offered

The Belknap County Sportsmen's Association is sponsoring a hiking program in which participants can earn a patch by climbing 12 mountains in the Belknap Range. All of these mountains have established trails, beautiful views and can be hiked as day trips. The Belknap Mountain Range is part of ancient volcano on the western side of Lake Winnipesaukee in the towns of Alton, Gilmanton and Gilford. Their elevations are between 1600 and 2400 feet.
The patch is awarded on the honor system when a participant hikes to the summit of all 12 listed mountains and mails in a completed "Check Off List" form. There is a $5.00 fee to cover the cost of the patch and postage. The mountains can be hiked in any order and there is currently no time limit for completing them.
